Long ago I owned the family's `67 Mustang which was never a dependable car. Luckily I also had an "old school" mechanic who would personally rescue me from the steep hills of SF whenever it broke down. Bob had a favorite nickname for me and I was at a loss when he retired. I bought a used VW Golf and was given the name of a repair shop in the East Bay that turned out to be the very best repair shop ever and I have been a die-hard loyal customer ever since. The downside is having to take a day off work to deal with car repairs but I don't trust just anyone with my car. That changed after I had to park my car for five months (seismic upgrade of my building's garage and hip replacement for me). My car had an issue on the way home during rush hour and I knew I needed to park it on an alley overnight. Frantically I called my mechanic but did not get a response. I searched Yelp for "VW repair in SF" and Autowerks came up. Most reviewers held Zach in such high regard that I wondered is this guy for real? Well, I'll skip the details and jump right in and confirm that yes, Zach is for real and really a great guy! He and my mechanic know each other and Zach got a thumbs up from my guy so I know I'm in good hands. Zach will be getting a lot more of my business because he has gained my trust, which is not an easy thing to do. Thank you Autowerks!
